John G. Mulligan, Master Goldsmith and Silversmith
For over 40 years it has been my pleasure and privilege to
design and create special jewelry pieces for the enjoyment of others. Graduating
from the prestigious North Bennett Street School in June 1966 with a diploma in
Jewelry Making and Repair, I have worked as a craftsman - designer - instructor
- stone setter - jewelry restoration specialist - and retailer in this most
rewarding profession.
I have apprenticed in many of Boston's finest trade shops, including the Thurman
Shop at Shreve, Crump and Lowe Company of Boston.
It has been my privilege to work and study with many of the finest international jewelry
craftsman, including those from the Netherlands, Germany, India, and Canada, in
application of the irreplaceable old
world techniques rarely used in today's corporate jewelry industry. This
knowledge, along with creative inspiration, a passion for gemstones and the love
of fine craftsmanship, has allowed me to forge a life's career as both Master
Goldsmith and Silversmith.
